I was mostly worried about the blades breaking. They are constructed very well. The downsides of these shoes. If you run in the rain they slip a lot, the padding on the bottom does not grip with water on them. The stock insoles wear down very fast. I put about 50 miles on them the first 2 weeks and the spring feeling and weightless stride went away as soon as the insoles starting losing its muster. I replaced the insoles with a thicker construction. They are better but the shoes are tight because the insoles are raised higher than the stock ones. There have been a few times where the blades have actually cut my leg or ankle. Do not run on gravel or trails. You will get a lot of stones and sticks stuck in the inside of the blades. Are they worth the 180$? If you have the money to spend on them go for it! If not get a pair of 80$ reeboks or NewBalance. 9 of 11 people found the following review helpful. By Kevin I had these for about 6-8 months of light use, and they felt great after the long break-in process. I was about to give these a 5-star rating because I felt like they were a huge advantage over foam-bottom shoes that eventually compress flat, but then one day while running, the plastic bottom just completely ripped away from the shoe and flapped around as I ran. When I inspected it, I could see that the bottom plastic part was two pieces joined by glue rather than one solid plastic mold. These shoes were so expensive, I feel completely ripped off. Last time I fall for something like this from Adidas. 7 of 9 people found the following review helpful. By Cossie I loved the look and feel on my feet when I first bought these running shoes. However, after about two months of use, the strips on the side of shoes starting peeling off. After about three months of use one of the blades on outsole broke. After about five months of use the mesh fabric began to tear. Adidas needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. See all 16 customer reviews... |
